2. Scheduled Visits Only
Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, Homestead Farm Services provides scheduled visits and does not provide continuous supervision.
Animals and property will be unattended between scheduled visits. Customers must consider whether scheduled visits are appropriate for their animals, property, medical circumstances, security needs, and requested level of supervision.
Homestead Farm Services does not guarantee that an incident occurring between visits will be immediately observed or prevented.
3. Not Veterinary Medical Care
Homestead Farm Services is not a veterinary clinic, veterinary hospital, veterinarian, veterinary technician service, or animal medical provider.
Homestead Farm Services does not:
- Diagnose animal illnesses or injuries
- Prescribe medications or medical treatments

- Guarantee the effectiveness of medication or treatment
- Perform surgery or invasive veterinary procedures
- Provide emergency veterinary medical treatment

Observations or updates about an animal’s appearance, appetite, behavior, movement, waste, breathing, or general condition are provided only as practical observations. They are not a medical diagnosis.
Customers remain responsible for deciding when veterinary care is needed and for arranging appropriate veterinary services.
4. Medication Disclaimer
Homestead Farm Services may administer certain preapproved medications only when the requested task is within our experience, comfort, safety, and insurance limitations.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate, current, and clearly written instructions that include:
- The correct animal
- The medication name
- The correct dosage
- The administration time
- The method of administration
- Storage requirements
- Known side effects or reactions
- Current veterinary contact information
Medication should be supplied in its original container or in a clearly labeled container approved before services begin.
Homestead Farm Services is not responsible for adverse reactions, ineffective treatment, progression of illness, or other outcomes caused by the medication itself, veterinary instructions, inaccurate customer instructions, hidden medication, expired medication, defective equipment, or factors outside our reasonable control.
We may decline injections, invasive procedures, controlled substances, forceful administration, or any medication task that cannot be completed safely or lawfully.
5. Animal Behavior Is Unpredictable
Even animals with no prior history of aggression or escape may behave unpredictably when their owners are away or when routines, weather, surroundings, handlers, herd arrangements, or health conditions change.
Animal behavior may be affected by:
- Stress or separation

Customers must disclose all known or suspected animal risks before services begin.
This includes any history of:
- Biting, snapping, or scratching
- Kicking, charging, or head-butting

Failure to disclose a known or reasonably suspected risk may result in modification, suspension, or termination of services.
The customer remains responsible for losses, injuries, delays, or additional expenses associated with undisclosed animal behavior or inaccurate information, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Unsafe or Aggressive Animals
Homestead Farm Services may refuse to approach, handle, restrain, move, medicate, release, secure, or enter an enclosure with an animal when the task presents an unreasonable risk.

8. Animal Illness, Injury, Escape, or Death
Homestead Farm Services cannot guarantee that an animal will remain healthy, injury-free, securely confined, or alive during a service period.
Illness, injury, escape, or death may occur because of pre-existing conditions, hidden illness, age, animal behavior, predator activity, enclosure failure, weather, accidents, natural causes, actions of third parties, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Homestead Farm Services will make reasonable efforts to follow the approved care instructions and report observed concerns. However, we cannot guarantee that every developing condition will be visible during a scheduled visit.
Some animals may hide symptoms, decline quickly, or experience an emergency between visits.
9. Veterinary Emergency Authorization
Customers are expected to provide current veterinarian information, emergency contacts, treatment preferences, and an approved emergency spending limit before services begin.
If an animal appears to require urgent attention and the customer cannot be reached, Homestead Farm Services may take reasonable good-faith action based on the available authorization and circumstances.

10. Emergency Expenses
The customer is responsible for veterinary, emergency, transportation, boarding, medication, farrier, supply, repair, and other expenses incurred on behalf of the customer’s animals or property.
This includes reasonable emergency expenses incurred when the customer cannot be reached, provided the action was consistent with the authorization and information reasonably available at the time.
This responsibility does not apply to the extent an expense results directly from Homestead Farm Services’ proven negligence, willful misconduct, or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Livestock and Farm Risks
Farm and livestock care involves inherent risks that differ from ordinary household pet care.
These risks may include:
- Large or powerful animals

Homestead Farm Services will use reasonable care but cannot eliminate all risks associated with a working farm, barn, pasture, coop, animal enclosure, or rural property.
12. No Guarantee of Production or Performance
Homestead Farm Services does not guarantee animal production, reproduction, performance, training, weight, growth, milk yield, egg production, breeding results, show performance, or financial value.
Changes in routine, weather, nutrition, age, illness, stress, or the customer’s absence may affect animal behavior and production despite reasonable care.

Customers are responsible for providing secure, functional, and appropriate fencing, gates, stalls, barns, coops, pens, crates, runs, pastures, and other animal enclosures.

Problems may occur or develop between visits and may not be visible from areas reasonably accessed during a scheduled visit.
17. Property Security Disclaimer
Homestead Farm Services does not guarantee that a property will remain free from theft, trespass, vandalism, intrusion, fire, damage, or other loss.
The customer remains responsible for securing doors, windows, gates, vehicles, equipment, valuables, firearms, chemicals, documents, and other property before leaving.
Customers should maintain appropriate locks, alarms, insurance, lighting, and security systems suitable for their property.
Homestead Farm Services is not responsible for the reliability or performance of customer-owned locks, alarms, cameras, mobile applications, garage systems, internet-connected devices, or security providers.

Customers must disclose known indoor and outdoor cameras, doorbell cameras, audio devices, livestock monitors, and other recording equipment in areas where services will be performed.
Surveillance devices must be operated lawfully and may not be placed in areas where a service provider would reasonably expect privacy.
Homestead Farm Services may refuse or discontinue services when undisclosed monitoring creates a privacy, safety, or trust concern.

27. Marketing Photographs and Testimonials
Photographs taken during services may be used privately for customer updates, documentation, safety, or recordkeeping.
Homestead Farm Services will not intentionally publish recognizable photographs of a customer’s home, address, family, security system, private documents, or property for marketing without permission.
